Terms & Conditions of Sale

1. York Maze Hallowscream is operated by York Maze Ltd., a company registered in England Reg No.07264520.
2. By purchasing a ticket you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of any contract between York Maze and yourself, and by extension anyone you are purchasing tickets on behalf of.
3. HEALTH WARNING. You will be exposed to strobe lights, loud noises, shocks, scares, tight corridors, low ceilings, darkness, smoke machines, steps and uneven ground. Some medical conditions mean that this event will be unsuitable for you. Please think carefully before you buy a ticket.
4. This event is held in the dark, and visitors are likely to be scared. You are entering a farm environment and the ground may be uneven. You enter the site entirely at your own risk having agreed to the terms and conditions.
5. This is an extreme scare event and not suitable for children. Children under the age of 16 years will be refused entry even if accompanied by an adult. Proof of age will be requested for anyone who appears under 21yrs, please bring suitable Photo ID.
6. No food or drink, glass bottles, fireworks, sparklers or pets will be allowed into the event site.
7. The organisers reserve the right to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of patrons.
8. As members of the audience, ticket holders accept that they may be filmed and sound recorded for broadcast or publication.
9. You may not touch the actors in any way.
10. The QR Code sent in your booking confirmation email must be presented (on your mobile device or printout) for scanning at the entrance.
11. If the ticket is scanned and shows that it has already been redeemed then entry will be refused.
12. All members of your party must enter together.
13. Standard Hallowscream Ticket are booked for a specific date & time. The ticket is only valid for entry on the date and timeslot booked. You must arrive within 30 minutes of the booked time shown on your booking confirmation, this is your timeslot. Once inside you may remain on site as long as you wish until closing. Your entry ticket is no longer valid after your booked timeslot closes. Latecomers may be admitted at the sole discretion of York Maze.
14. Fast Track X5, Fast Track Unlimited & Unlimited Rides, Mega Pass Tickets are booked for a specific date but are not limited to timeslots ie you can enter at any time on the date from opening to last entry. Once inside you may remain on site as long as you wish until closing. Your entry ticket is no longer valid after the last admission time on the date you booked for.
15. Standard Hallowscream Tickets allow you to enter the scare houses as many times as you wish subject to queuing. The queue lines close at 10.30pm, you cannot join a queue line after they close.
16. Fast Track Tickets allow you to join the Fast Track queue line at each scare house. You will still need to queue but the wait times will generally be much shorter than the regular ticket lines. There is no Fast Track line for the fairground rides.
17. Fast Track X5 gives you entry to the Fast Track queue line at the scare houses five times only on the night. Fast Track queue lines close at 10.30pm
18. Fast Track Unlimited & Unlimited Rides, Mega Pass Tickets allow you to join the Fast Track queue lines as many times as you like on the night. Fast Track queue lines close at 10.30pm.
19. A wristband will be issued on arrival corresponding to the ticket type purchased. These must be securely fastened round your wrist in such a way that they cannot be removed without cutting. They must remain on your wrist while you are on site and shown to Hallowscream/Security staff on request. Wristbands are not transferable and once removed are no longer valid.
20. Prices on the website are subject to change without notice. We accept most major credit and debit cards in partnership with our ticketing provider. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes. There are no surcharges whatsoever. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets.
21. All online bookings incur a £2.00 per person booking fee.
22. Some activities or Scare Houses may not be able to open for safety reasons, or due to technical or operational reasons. York Maze reserve the right to alter or vary the attractions, rides and shows available without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
23. In the unlikely event that York Maze Hallowscream is not able to open on the date you have tickets booked for we will offer you tickets for an alternative date. Only if York Maze cancel the event and no alternative date is available will a refund be considered. Any refund will be limited to the cost of the ticket purchased only. No consequential liability will be covered.
24. Once booked and payment made tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded.
25. You can change the date and time of the booking subject to the terms below...
    1. You cannot change the type of ticket only the date/time. Eg if you have a Standard Hallowscream Ticket you can not change it to a Fast Track Ticket.
    2. Any change must be made my midnight the day before arrival. Tickets cannot be changed on the day of arrival and if not used on that day expire and have no value.
    3. Date/time can only be changed by the customer who bought the ticket(s) by signing into your online ticketing account.
    4. You must change all the tickets in your booking at the same time, you cannot split the booking. Eg if one person in a group can’t make it you cannot change the single ticket. Tickets cannot be cancelled and no refunds will be given.
    5. Changing to a new date/time is subject to availability and paying the difference in price between the cost of tickets booked and the cost of tickets on the date you want to change to. Alternative dates/times may sell out and if no alternative date/time is available then the booking cannot be changed.
    6. If you are changing dates from a more expensive ticket to a lower priced ticket then no refund will be given. If you then want to change again to a higher priced ticket you will need to pay the additional cost.
    7. Each change of date/time will be subject to a £2.00 per person re-booking fee.
26. The organisers reserve the right to refuse admission and remove any person without assigning any reason.
27. The organisers cannot accept financial or other responsibility for any loss or liability incurred as a result of:
    1. Contracts entered into by visitors, with any stall holder, exhibiter, caterer, performer or other person or organisation on site.
    2. Any damage to or loss of visitor's property whilst on site.
    3. Personal injury caused to or death of any visitor at the event say insofar as this arises out of the organiser's negligence.
28. Covid or other health restrictions – by purchasing tickets you accept that should Government regulations be introduced that in the judgement of York Maze apply to Hallowscream then you agree to adhere to the requirements in place at the time of your visit which may include the wearing of face masks. If you are purchasing tickets for other people you are also agreeing to these terms on their behalf. In order to enter the event you will need to adhere to the Government advice in place at the time of entry. No refunds or cancellation will be available if you fail to adhere to Government advice and are therefore unable to enter York Maze Hallowscream.
